Breaking News:Attention all Broadcasters. It is time to be a little more respectful of the use of the term “BREAKING NEWS. We get it, there is a lot going on in the world and much of it is important. But “Breaking News” should only be used for NEW INFORMATION that we haven’t heard in the past dare i say. . . 24 hours that warrants disruption of regularly scheduled programming. Not for the same tired news over and over and over again within your own news programming. Unless someone in your ear whispers that there’s been a massive change in the story. . . “BREAKING NEWS”. Otherwise, it’s just NEWS!
